I’m often asked to share videos that share perspectives that I hold valuable, whether I agree with them in their entirety or not. Here is that list. I invite you to watch with an open mind, and then come to your own conclusions- do more research, check in with your heart and gut, check what is said against your lived experience. Don’t take my or anyone else’s word for it. I believe this time in our world’s history is about coming into our own truth, our own power. Trading someone else’s truth for another someone else’s isn’t the point. And, it helps to listen to perspectives that are new- to check in with assumptions we may have or old belief systems we don’t actually agree with anymore. So here are some of my favorite links. Enjoy!

Voices that deserve to be heard:
A heartbreaking occurrence that has happened as a side effect of the pharmaceutical companies, governments and mainstream media’s huge attempts to convince the public that the inoculations are “safe and effective” is the suppression of the voices of people who have been injured. These folks are not getting the treatment they deserve and are often called crazy anti-vaxxers. This is tragic.

This period of Covid has most of us looking for safety. We are looking for safety because something has scared us. This is different for different people. Some are scared of the virus, some are scared of governments or corporations having too much power, some are scared of people not wearing masks, some are scared of what masks are doing for this generation of children, some are scared of the vaccine, some are scared of not getting everyone vaccinated.
How do you generally find safety? We can find safety by orienting outward or inward. Outward orientation could look like trusting the professionals, following the rules laid out by the government or health officials, or orienting to what our family and friends are doing and saying. Inward orientation could look like feeling it out, using intuition, or going with your gut. This orientation has generally been seen in our culture as leading to possible irrational choices,
so most of us are more heavily practiced in outward orientation and then relying on our cognition, rather than our bodies to help us make choices.
Some of my journey over the last few years has been about noticing how I have found safety through an outward orientation. Through a difficult experience (how the best learning happens right?!) I learned how my nervous system was constantly scanning for how others around me were feeling. I was good at using my nervous system to help others settle, so I could feel more settled. This is part of being an Empath. This created a way for me to feel safe in the world, and it was so practiced, I didn’t even know I was doing it. And it worked, until it didn’t! When it didn’t, I had no place to go but into myself. And there, I found a level of safety that I did not know existed. A safety that was connected to my body and it’s deep knowing, a safety connected to how I am a part of the larger whole, a safety connected to my inner divinity.
It’s from this place that I’ve gotten to experience myself in relationship to the Covid-19 pandemic. This new orientation has helped me trust in my body’s immune system, to take even better care of my body to boost my immune system, and to pace myself with tuning into the media, taking into account my personal lived experience, as much as I take in what is being portrayed. Somewhere along the way I learned this tool that seems to speak of the process I naturally came to during my healing journey. It is a tool that encourages decision making from the integration of these three pieces:
1. What do people or experts that I trust have to say about this?
2. What does my life experience have to say about this?
3. What does my intuition have to say about this?
Sit with these three. Do you have balance? Do you lean on one much more than the others? Do you discount your own experience? Do you feel connected to your intuition? In a world where we can find “experts” to say anything, I believe we need to pay more attention to #2 and #3. I know from my own life and those of my clients, that when we are in tune with our inner divine alignment, with our true nature, we will be pulled to choose what’s in the highest good for ourselves and the whole. Because that’s what nature does. And we are that. I work with my clients to take in what they hear from others, and then assimilate it through their life experience and intuition, to come to their personal truth. I want to live in a world where we are taking the radical self-responsibility to live our highest truths, not anyone else’s. Thank you for listening to mine and thank you for living yours.
Dr. Allan J. Hamilton, says eloquently in his book Zen Mind, Zen Horse “The reason the horse can become such a gifted teacher for us is because he does not need an inner voice. He doesn’t think in words at all. He feels. He experiences the simple energy of his emotional state of being…. Horses infuse emotional meaning into every body movement. They pour this vital, emotional energy – chi – into every gesture and glance.” The horse LIVES in the “WE”, and humans (or most of us in the western world) live in the “I”.
Zach Bush MD speaks inspiringly about the paradigm shift we are in RIGHT NOW! We are in a time similar in scope to the time when we realized the earth was not flat, or the time in history when we discovered that the earth was not the center of the universe. Change is not easy on us humans and these discoveries took a while to integrate. It may be that the shift we’re in as I write this will have to happen faster to save ourselves from extinction. What is this shift? This is a true embodied shift to knowing the WE- that we are intrinsically connected to EVERYTHING around us. So not just other humans. Yes, it’s about time that we wake up to the fact that hunger for some impacts us all, or racism has negative consequences for even those that “benefit” from it. But it’s also time to wake up to our WE with the natural world around us. I love this idea of awakening- awakening to LIFE, the life that courses through our veins and with every breath. The LIFE that is intimately connected with the trees and bees and our fellow humans.
Horses live this all the time and therefore resonate with this frequency. That’s why I love to get people together with horses. Because all we really need to do is get present with them and they bring us into that higher frequency! From here, I watch my clients have revelations about their purpose in life, I watch their creativity burst forth, I watch effortless release of old patterns. Are the horses “doing” this? Nope. We actually don’t need anything outside of
ourselves to “do” anything to/for us, to awaken to our true alignment- not horses, not plant medicine, not akashic record readers, not gurus. Horses are “being” it, and in this, they invite our vibration to meet theirs. Easy Peasy. And this is what we’re all up to on Earth in this moment. BEING our highest vibration and as a beautiful byproduct, those around us come to meet us.
So what spaces raise your vibration? Be in these more. Which suck your life force? Be in these less or not at all. Hard to know? Here’s a simple tool. Before you enter- a place, space with a person, etc. do a quick body scan on yourself. Don’t try to change anything, just notice what you notice. Any tightness? Openness? Warmth? Great, now enter the space. Take a few seconds to check in again in the same way. What has changed? How does this change feel? Expansive or constricting? Big or small? Open or protective? Now you know. And you get to do this 100 times per day, fine tuning your world for your highest resonance. Thank you for this work from all of us!
Sovereignty and Covid
It is not lost on me that Corona means crown and sovereignty is all about claiming one’s own kingdom. As in: “I am the Queen of my domain, my energy space, my field. I take full responsibility for this, while letting others take full responsibility for what is theirs.
It is in this, the letting others be responsible for what’s theirs while being completely responsible for what’s ours, that we see the huge opportunity in the current Covid crisis. This pandemic has heightened the divisive energy that is already so present in our country- us versus them, good versus bad, right versus wrong. The corona virus is a toxin to our bodies and this divisive energy is a toxin to our bodies and spirits.
AND, this means that every time I find myself in a place of division, a place of judgment of other, I get to choose to come back to myself with love. I get to choose to not enter into and add to that energy of divisiveness. At the same time, I get to choose what creates safety for me- if I wear a mask, where I wear a mask, who I choose to be around, where my child goes or does not go. I get to take responsibility for myself. And I get to practice clear communication with others, getting consent where appropriate, and making sure we’re on the same page about safety precautions. The opportunities for choosing sovereignty are endless. Each time we do, we shift the energy and in turn raise consciousness.
It is the energy of us/them, right/wrong that has been the underbelly of racism, white supremacy, patriarchy, homophobia, and transphobia. We need a consciousness shift, out of this old paradigm. What is the new paradigm? I choose to lean into love. I choose to lean into trust that we are all on our divine paths. What if we could choose this vibration of trust? I trust you because I trust your journey, not because you live the way I live. And this is not about forgoing our boundaries to love others, or avoiding or denying our needs to keep the peace. This is about sovereignty. I will love myself SO much that I will live my life in alignment with what feels true and safe for me, while allowing others to do the same.
This part is subtle and important, because there are ways that I and many others have hid behind ideas of oneness and love for all, not standing up to things like racism or other injustices. This is not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about energy and consciousness. I can take a stand against police brutality of Black people because I feel this is my responsibility as a
sovereign soul in a White body. I can do this while not being in judgment of others. Because it’s ALSO my responsibility as a sovereign soul to work with and through the energy of division and judgment that is contributing to this toxic energy in the collective.
How?! I know, this part feels hard. And I am not perfect at it! Here’s how I work with it- I feel into the part of me that is judging, that is dividing the world into good and bad. And I feel that in my body. I feel the sensations, the textures. I cry if tears want to come, I let the energy of anger move me into pushing against a wall and growling if that feels right. I get real present
with it and then, over time, I watch it move. And then sometimes, on a good day, I find my center, and I realize that judging others is not mine to do. It’s not mine to do. And it’s gone, (for that moment anyway). And it is from this place I can show up more powerfully to serve the world. So much love to all of you on this journey with me. We are all in this together.
Here is one of my favorite poems:
Please Call Me By My True Names
Don’t say that I will depart tomorrow— even today I am still arriving.
Look deeply: every second I am arriving to be a bud on a Spring branch, to be a tiny bird, with still-fragile wings, learning to sing in my new nest, to be a caterpillar in the heart of a flower, to be a jewel hiding itself in a stone.
I still arrive, in order to laugh and to cry, to fear and to hope. The rhythm of my heart is the birth and death of all that is alive.
I am a mayfly metamorphosing on the surface of the river. And I am the bird that swoops down to swallow the mayfly.
I am a frog swimming happily in the clear water of a pond. And I am the grass-snake that silently feeds itself on the frog.
I am the child in Uganda, all skin and bones, my legs as thin as bamboo sticks. And I am the arms merchant, selling deadly weapons to Uganda.
I am the twelve-year-old girl, refugee on a small boat, who throws herself into the ocean after being raped by a sea pirate. And I am also the pirate, my heart not yet capable of seeing and loving.
I am a member of the politburo, with plenty of power in my hands. And I am the man who has to pay his “debt of blood” to my people dying slowly in a forced-labor camp.
My joy is like Spring, so warm it makes flowers bloom all over the Earth. My pain is like a river of tears, so vast it fills the four oceans.
Please call me by my true names, so I can hear all my cries and laughter at once, so I can see that my joy and pain are one.
Please call me by my true names, so I can wake up and the door of my heart could be left open, the door of compassion.
-Thich Nhat Hanh
